The Free Gift of God’s Grace—Will You Accept It?

Many people have heard about the grace of God, but not everyone truly understands how deep, powerful, and life-changing His grace really is. There was also a time when I only knew the word “grace,” but I did not fully understand its true meaning until God personally revealed it to me through my relationship with Him.

Through His mercy, deliverance, and the truth of His Word, God opened my eyes to understand that salvation is truly a free gift through Jesus Christ. This revelation deeply touched my heart and changed the way I see God, obedience, holiness, and walking with Him daily.

In this post, I want to share what God revealed to me about His grace, salvation, and the invitation He lovingly offers to every person through Jesus Christ.

I am truly so thankful to God. He is so, so good. The goodness of God cannot be measured. Hallelujah 🙌🏻

Before, I could not fully appreciate the goodness of God. I did not really feel the presence of God, even though I constantly heard the word “God.” But when I entered into a relationship with Him, that was when I slowly came to know who God truly is. That was when I began to understand what softens His heart, what hurts His heart, what makes Him happy, what He dislikes, and so much more. One of those things is the GRACE of God.

Before, my understanding of the word “grace” was very shallow until I personally experienced the grace of God through my relationship with Him. I cried with joy because the grace of God is so overwhelming. At the same time, I also cried for the people who still do not know the true grace of God. That is why I truly want to tell people what God has revealed to me about His grace.

The moment God delivered me from my struggle with sin, my spiritual eyes were opened concerning the grace of God. Because if God had not saved me, I would have remained in my sinful life. The more I continued in that sin, the more my relationship with God faded. Little by little, my desire for God was disappearing. And because of that struggle with sin, different evil spirits began to enter. But because of the grace of God, He delivered me. All of it suddenly disappeared the moment God stepped in and saved me. That was when I saw how great the grace of God truly is, and I became so amazed.

Then God showed me His grace regarding our salvation, and this deeply touched my heart. The grace of God is like being given a free ticket—you only need to accept it. But there are people who ignore it, reject it, and there are also those who accept it. Because God’s love is not forced. That is why people have free will.

I once asked why people still go to hell if the grace of God is available to save people. Then God led me to the parable of the wedding feast, and there I understood the answer.

MATTHEW 22:1-14 (NLT)

1 Jesus also told them other parables. He said, 2 “The Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a king who prepared a great wedding feast for his son. 3 When the banquet was ready, he sent his servants to notify those who were invited. But they all refused to come!

4 “So he sent other servants to tell them, ‘The feast has been prepared. The bulls and fattened cattle have been killed, and everything is ready. Come to the banquet!’ 5 But the guests he had invited ignored them and went their own way, one to his farm, another to his business.6 Others seized his messengers and insulted them and killed them.

7 “The king was furious, and he sent out his army to destroy the murderers and burn their town. 8 And he said to his servants, ‘The wedding feast is ready, and the guests I invited aren’t worthy of the honor. 9 Now go out to the street corners and invite everyone you see.’10 So the servants brought in everyone they could find, good and bad alike, and the banquet hall was filled with guests.

11 “But when the king came in to meet the guests, he noticed a man who wasn’t wearing the proper clothes for a wedding. 12 ‘Friend,’ he asked, ‘how is it that you are here without wedding clothes?’ But the man had no reply.13 Then the king said to his aides, ‘Bind his hands and feet and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.”

We are being invited by God to receive His free gift, which is Jesus Christ. But not everyone accepts Him. Some reject Him, while others ignore Him. That is the reason why people end up in hell—because Jesus Christ is not in their lives.

There is a difference between simply knowing the name of Jesus Christ and truly having a relationship with Him. If you only know His name, you are not fully aware of who God is, His character, and many other things. But if you have a relationship with Him, you begin to know His secrets. And the deeper your relationship with God becomes, the more He reveals the mysteries of His Kingdom, His glory, and many more things about Himself.

When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, it means we surrender everything to Him. It means we are no longer the ones leading our lives, but we allow God to lead us instead. Once we truly accept Jesus Christ, we are baptized with the Holy Spirit, and through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, that is the path we follow. Because of this, we become clean in the eyes of God.

But if we reject or ignore His offer, and instead choose our own desires and will, then we are following our flesh or sinful nature. And that is what leads to the second death.

ROMANS 8:12-14 (NLT)

12 Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. 13 For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live. 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.

That was when I understood, “Lord, we truly need to walk with You every day.” Then God answered me that being saved now does not mean we are saved forever if we stop walking with Him daily. That is why Lot’s wife in the Old Testament became a pillar of salt—because she looked back.

If God has already rescued us, but we return again to our old life by following our fleshly desires and sinful nature, that leads to death—the second death.

GALATIANS 6:8 (NLT)

Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.

The Kingdom of God is like a wedding feast. We must be clean, pure, and holy through Jesus Christ. Because when Jesus Christ is in us, He replaces our filth and sinfulness with God’s righteousness. That is why a person who is made clean becomes worthy of the wedding feast of God.

ZECHARIAH 3:4 (NLT)

So the angel said to the others standing there, “Take off his filthy clothes.” And turning to Jeshua he said, “See, I have taken away your sins, and now I am giving you these fine new clothes.”

ISAIAH 61:10 (NLT)

I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding or a bride with her jewels.

REVELATION 19:8 (NLT)

She has been given the finest of pure white linen to wear.” For the fine linen represents the good deeds of God’s holy people.

REVELATION 21:27 (NLT)

Nothing evil will be allowed to enter, nor anyone who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty—but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

REVELATION 21:7-8 (NLT)

7 All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children.

8 “But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars—their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

After I understood the free gift of God in our salvation, I cried so much. Because if I had never known this truth, I could also have been lost. Through this revelation God gave me, I realized that I truly want to draw nearer to God more and more, and that I need to be careful with the reminders God gives me, especially in obeying Him. People perish because of a lack of knowledge.

So to you who are reading this post—you are also invited. You are someone God is offering His free gift to. That is how great God’s love is for you. He has not abandoned you, and He has not forgotten you.

HOSEA 4:6 (NLT)

My people are being destroyed because they don’t know me. Since you priests refuse to know me, I refuse to recognize you as my priests. Since you have forgotten the laws of your God, I will forget to bless your children.

As I reflected on everything God revealed to me, I realized how great and undeserved His grace truly is. If God had not reached out to save me, I could have remained lost in sin and far from Him. But through His mercy, love, and salvation through Jesus Christ, He opened my eyes and drew me back to Him.

This revelation made me realize how important it is to walk closely with God every day and to never take His grace for granted. Salvation is truly a free gift from God, but it is also an invitation to surrender our lives to Jesus Christ and allow Him to transform us through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

The more I come to know God, the more I understand how good, holy, loving, merciful, and faithful He truly is. His grace is so overwhelming that it sometimes brings me to tears because I know I do not deserve it, yet He still chose to love, forgive, and save me.

I pray that whoever is reading this will also come to experience the true grace of God—not only by hearing about Him, but by having a real relationship with Jesus Christ. Because when you truly encounter God, your life will never remain the same.

Hallelujah!  Glory belongs to God alone.
