God Ways And Thoughts Are Higher Than Ours

God spoke to me through this picture. I previously detailed the full story in my earlier post about my cats. However, God also used this to speak to me in another narrative. If you haven't read my piece on the subject, you may find it under the heading "THE SWEETNESS OF A FATHER'S LOVE FOR HIS LITTLE CHILD."

I was astonished by the Lord because He speaks to everything, even animals and other creatures. He also speaks to me through my cats so that I can share His message with His people, just as He did when He spoke to man through a donkey. God communicates with us in a variety of ways according to His will.

In that post, I said that we were getting ready to move into a new home, so I told my cat that it was time for them to enjoy exploring the neighborhood. However, our beloved cat has gone missing just as we were about to relocate. As a result, we stayed for 10 days, but he never returned. All we did was cry and hope and pray that he would come back. Even after hearing from locals in the area where we were looping back and forth that there would be a reward for whoever found him, we persisted in trying to find out where he was. We saw a cat in the same area that resembles him, but we are unsure because he flees when we approach and his fur is not as dark as our cat's. We continue to believe that it’s really our cat, despite the fact that it's obvious that it isn't.

The locals there were aware of how tirelessly we searched for our cat even after sunset. However, one of the residents has a newborn kitten that they are willing to give us, but we must wait a few weeks. The dog unfortunately devoured that kitten. But God is aware of our actions and how fervently we searched for our cat. I find it impossible to contain my tears whenever I think of my pet. Then God reassured me, saying, ‘’I SHOULD NOT WORRY BECAUSE OUR CAT WILL COME BACK TO US AND HE IS IN THE SAME PLACE WHERE WE KEEP RETURNING TO''. I was given faith and hope when God spoke to me. However, God's ways and thoughts are distinct from my knowledge and views. Due to my ignorance, I relied on my presumption that the lost cat would actually be found.

Prior to that, two cats visited our home repeatedly after we moved into our new home and eventually made themselves at home. However, the lost cat is what we kept looking for because that is what was on our minds. When one of the two cats that arrived was the same colour as our lost cat, God finally gave me the insight that these were replacements for the missing cat. Several weeks later, that evening, someone called to say they had three kittens they would give to us and allow us to have if we were willing.

God had revealed everything to me up until a few months ago, and I had complete understanding. The three kittens that he gave us from the same spot that we kept returning to were what he meant to me when he said that our cat would be brought back to us, but my comprehension was lower than his. At this point, I understood just how great and immeasurable God's wisdom is. When he shows it to us, we will comprehend it. Although I lost one cat, the Lord gave me five more in its place, so I came to understand how good He is. Isaiah 55:8-9 is completely correct in this regard.

8 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.

9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.

My personal experience speaks for everyone. When we are happy, we do not comprehend the abrupt onset of sadness or the reasons behind events. When this happens, all we can do is pray, trust, and hope in the Lord's promises. However, since most people rely more on their own reasoning than on the Lord, they do not experience true peace. Despite hearing the word of God, our hearts nevertheless struggle to accept it.

Instead of putting our faith in God's promise to us, we shall make our own way. Even though we have witnessed God's goodness and that he is still alive, we choose to ignore what we have seen since what we want is not what God wants for us. We also act on our own thoughts rather than putting our complete trust in God. Without listening to him, we cannot discern God's will. We are deaf despite the fact that it is evident that God spoke to us because of our disobedience and selfish goals. We think that our jobs, relationships, activities, thoughts, and desires are excellent or seem to be heading in the right direction, but we are unsure if they are right in God's eyes.

Recognize that God's purposes are greater than our own self-interest. Things happen for a reason and purpose if we give God the room and opportunity to speak to Him and submit our will or desire to Him. This is both a source of our blessing and a way for God to be glorified. Always keep in mind that God's ways and thoughts are higher than ours, and that His wisdom is unfathomable; we can only comprehend it through Him. Even though there are hardships and pains, if we pay attention to Him, we will receive more than we could have imagined. If we follow His way, which leads to eternal life, we cannot see it or discover it from anybody other than God.
