Before, I didn’t really understand what it means to hear the voice of God.
Growing up, I would always hear the word “God,” but I never truly experienced Him personally. I didn’t have a clear understanding, and there was a time in my life when I was completely unaware of Him.
But now I realize something…
God was already speaking to me even before—I just didn’t recognize His voice.
Back then, I thought hearing God meant something loud or very obvious. But as I became closer to Him, I slowly began to understand His ways.
The more I spent time with Him, the more my heart became sensitive. And the more I became sensitive, the more I started to recognize His voice.
Then I realized:
It’s not that God was silent before—I just didn’t know how to hear Him yet.
JOHN 10:27 (NLT)
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”
God is always speaking. But we begin to recognize His voice when we draw closer to Him.
Now I’m learning that His voice is not always loud—sometimes it is gentle, quiet, and peaceful.
And the closer we are to Him, the clearer we understand Him.
Maybe God has been speaking to you too… you just haven’t recognized His voice yet.
